2008/09 CPD Period Extended

In order to be as fair as possible to members of the profession who are having difficulty in complying with the timelines set out in the Rules and CPD Policy, the opportunity will be provided for practitioners to elect to apply CPD points earned up to and including 31 May 2009 to the 2008-2009 CPD period. Accordingly, practitioners who wish to take advantage of this extra time will be able to advise the Legal Practice Board on their practising certificate renewal application that they 'will have complied' with the requirements of the Rules and Policy by 31 May 2009. This extra time for compliance will only apply for this year. Practice Certificate holders are reminded that they may claim CPD points dating back to 1 April 2007 for the initial CPD period. A list of approved CPD QA providers and the points available is on the Legal Practice Board website.
